Students who have successfully completed two years of high school, and who qualify for junior standing, may apply to Tri-County Career Center for their junior and senior years. Students with a senior standing, and who are on track to graduate, may also apply with the intent of attending for one year. Seniors will be considered for any program after all interested juniors have been accommodated.
The student must be a member of one of the eight home high schools which feed into the career center. Students who are not a member of one of the eight schools must obtain Open Enrollment status at one of the eight schools before attendance at the career center can occur.
To be accepted to the career center, students must have at least nine credits by the end of the sophomore year. These credits should include:
- 2 English
- 2 Math
- 2 Social Studies
- 2 Science
- 1/2 Health
- 1/2 Physical Education
Credits earned, grades, attendance, discipline, and home high school recommendation will all be considered when applying.
The application process begins in December of the sophomore year. Applications can be obtained at the career center or at any of the eight home high schools.
