Early Childhood Education
  • Assist in the operation of a state certified preschool
  • Create, research, and provide for children developmentally appropriate preschool materials
  • Prepare young children for kindergarten
Program Desciption
The Early Childhood Education program prepares students for employment or continued advanced coursework in childcare and other early education areas. Students receive instruction in the operation of a licensed preschool center located on the Tri-County campus for children 18 months through five years of age. This program also provides students the opportunities to evaluate their interest in teaching and other human service careers requiring a high level of personal interaction. Besides on-campus experience, students have the opportunity to intern or be early-placed at an off-campus institution. Real-life experiences and quality training remain the keys to our students’ successes.  Students have opportunity to belong and participate in FCCLA student organization.

Class Champions and their Accomplishments:

This program has produced many regional and state champions in the FCCLA Skill Event and Star Events. State Star Event Champions earn the right to represent all of Ohio at the national competition.
