With classroom instruction from experienced instructors and clinical experience in the field, the Nursing Assistant program will help you become job-ready in just three weeks.
Areas of study include:
- Basic nursing skills
- Infection control
- Personal care skills
- Mental health and social service needs
- Basic restorative services
- Resident's rights
- First Aid and CPR Pro
- Employment skills
You will also receive specialized Home Health Aide training which includes bloodborne pathogens, nutrition and meal preparation, personal home and fire safety, communication and conflict management, emergency oxygen administration, death and dying, home management skills and review of the HIPAA guidelines.
The Nursing Assistant Program will prepare you for employment opportunities in hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, and home health.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be prepared to take the State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification exam administered through the Ohio Department of Health.
