Program Description

Become a cosmetologist in only 14 months! Our full-time, 1,500-hour program combines classroom lecture, hands-on training with real clients, and a 150-hour professional internship in an area salon.

Curriculum

Cosmetology students are trained in:

  • Chemical relaxing
  • Draping
  • Facial make-up & facials
  • Hair coloring
  • Haircutting
  • Natural nail manicuring & pedicuring
  • Permanent waving
  • Temporary hair removal
  • Shampooing, rinsing and conditioning
  • Thermal hair styling and wet hair styling
  • Conditioning treatments
  • Salon management

Career Opportunities

Training through our Cosmetology Program prepares you for a career as a Stylist, Hair Cutting Specialist, Salon Owner, Color Specialist, Nail Technician, Skin Care Technician, Beauty Advisor, Platform Artist or Product Educator.

Professional Certifications and Industry Credentials

This program prepares you for examination and licensure by the Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board.

Successful students are eligible for ACT National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC).
